Hero MotoCorp had temporarily removed the XPulse 200T, Xtreme 200S and the Xtreme 200R from its website. The two-wheeler brand, however, has updated its India website and listed the BS6-compliant XPulse 200T and the Xtreme 200S as coming soon. We also learnt that maybe the Xtreme 200R, the naked roadster will also return in its BS-6 compliant avatar.
The Xtreme 200S BS6 & XPulse 200T, as seen on the company’s website, will retain the design and features of the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, the latest iterations of both the bikes will continue to feature a full fairing design (Xtreme 200S only), LED headlight, Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation and a 130mm wide radial rear tyre. The BS-VI Xtreme 200S will be sold in three colour options – Sports Red, Panther Black and Brown. BS-VI XPulse 200T will be sold in 4 colour options – Sports Red, Panther Black, Matte Gold & Matte Grey.
The hardware specifications, too, will remain unchanged, and the BS6 models will continue to feature telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to perform the shock absorption duties. Anchoring setup will comprise of disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net will include a single-channel ABS.
The company has not listed the engine specifications for the BS6 model yet. The engine will most likely be shared to that of the XPulse 200. The 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with fuel-injection on the XPulse 200 BS6 is tuned to produce 17.8bhp @8,500rpm & 16.45Nm @6,500rpm.
The updated Xtreme 200S and XPulse 200T will carry a price premium over their respective BS4 iterations. The BS-IV compliant Xtreme 200S and XPulse 200T were sold for Rs 1.02 lakh and Rs 95,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
